There are a number of new logistical details for this event this season because of the changes in the Breslin Center.

Parking:  One of the important changes to note this season is MSU has changed many of the non-employee parking lots across the campus to “Pay by Plate” parking.  Attendees for this event will need to park in Lot 63 West (lot on south side of Breslin entered from Harrison Rd).  That lot no longer has a gate and no longer has an attendant.  This lot requires each vehicle driver to enter your license plate number at the kiosk and pay for parking by cash or credit card at a rate of $0.90 per half hour.  After 6 pm on weekdays the lot is free, so you will only need to pay for time up to 6:00 pm.

Entrance Gate:  Another change to Breslin is all of the Gates have been renamed.  For this event, please enter through the Hall of History Gate (formerly Gate B) with the Magic Johnson statue outside.  This is the Breslin Center’s new front door.  Doors will open at 4:30 pm.

Cost:  This event is free to Club Members.  The cost for member guests is $5 per guest if pre-registered by October 27th and $10 per guest after that or at the door.  Children 12 and under (members family or guests of members) are free.

Early Registration: Early registration will end on Friday, October 27th. For those that have mailed in their membership, they can go directly to the Early Registration Table on the right side as you enter the Hall of History Gate.  You Membership Card(s), this Season’s Membership Pin(s) and other items will be waiting for  you.  Your envelope will also have any guest tickets you have registered early for.  You may buy additional guest tickets at this table for $10.00 each.  Kids 12 and under are free and do not need a ticket.

Walk-in Registration: For those that miss the pre-registration date will be able to join or renew their existing Rebounders Club membership on November 1st.  This group will enter through the left side of the doors at the Hall of History Gate.   It would save you time if you had a completed membership application filled out in advance, but if not, there will be a separate table where you can complete your Membership Application.  If you have guests a Tip-Off Registration sign-up sheet which will be provided.  Once these forms are completed,  get in the line to pay for your renewal and guests. Kids 12 and under are free and will not need to register or have a ticket to enter.

Once registered there will be options for you:

Hall of History Tour: We are so excited to finally have the new Tom Izzo Hall of History finished and available to showcase all we love about Spartan Basketball.

Keepsake Photo:  We will again have a photo session set up so you can get yet another unique Spartan keepsake.  Be sure to wear your Green and White.

Watch Practice:  Practice will be on-going once you arrive.  Enter the arena and sit in the green back seats anywhere within the roped off sections. Coach will be conducting practice.

Concessions:   We plan to have a concession stand open near the Hall of History gate for those wishing to purchase drink or food.

Hear From Coach and Meet the Players: Once Coach finishes practice he will welcome us, talk about the upcoming season and this year’s team.  He will also field questions so have some good ones ready.  Once he is finished, you will be invited down onto the floor where the players will be scattered at various tables. You may greet the players, take pictures and get an autograph (1 item only) if you want to. We plan to have posters available on the floor as you come down.

2018 MSU and Greater Lansing Food Banks Food Drive

Lupe Izzo again will lead a team of volunteers at our annual Food Drive to benefit the MSU and Greater Lansing Food Banks on Saturday, February 10th as we take on the Purdue Boilermakers. Last season we set a record collecting 1302 non-perishable goods and $18,039.69 in cash donations surpassing the previous record set in 2016 of $16,717.90. Our goal this season is to set yet another new record in donations. As always 100% of everything donated at the food drives goes directly to these two organizations. 2018 Spartan Men's Basketball Banquet

The date for the 2018 MSU Men's Basketball Banquet honoring this season's incredible group of players and their accomplishments has not been determined. With the Big Ten Tournament being a week early this season most likely the Banquet will be held sometime between Thursday, March 8th and Sunday, March 11th. Whatever day this event takes place the attendees will be greeted to one of the most emotional events of the season as the players received their awards and recognition. It is anticipated that Spartan Sports Radio will again broadcast the Tom Izzo Radio Show live from the event. We will update this page as soon as we know a final date.
